Can a student take an ISIP assessment that isn’t on grade level?
Find out the answer to the common question of whether or not a student can take an ISIP assessment that's not on grade level.
If the district allows it, teachers can assign an On Demand Assessment (ODA) that is above or below grade level.
Students in third grade and below can be assigned an ODA intended for fourth through eighth-grade students. Students in grades four and above can be assigned an ODA intended for students in or below third grade.

Assign Off-Grade Level On Demand Assessments
Step 1: Log in to www.istation.com.
Step 2: Select the Classroom tab.
Step 3: Select On Demand Assessments from the left column.
Step 4: Select the appropriate assessment.
Step 5: Select students to be assigned an ODA. (Note: A student can only be assigned a higher assessment if previous scores indicate that they are ready for a higher assessment.)
Step 6: Select Overall for the entire assessment or specific skill areas.
Step 7: Click Update On Demand Assessments.

Step 1: Log in to www.istation.com.
Step 2: Select the Classroom tab.
Step 3: Click on the appropriate student’s name to open the Student Information page.
Step 4: Under Related Reports, click on Summary – Student History Report.
