Early Math
Discover the essential building blocks of early math concepts to help prepare your child for future academic success.
Donnie and the Decimals are a rock band touring the country and practicing their math skills at each concert stop. Following the Formative Math assessment, students in Pre-K through grade 2 are placed into Istation Math to join the rock tour. Each lesson is presented by bandmates Donnie, Stix, and Angel and provides instructional scaffolding through immediate, specific corrective feedback, modeled instruction, and character support.
Istation Math addresses five domains:
- Number sense
- Operations
- Algebra and Algebraic Thinking
- Geometry
- Measurement
Within each of these domains are conceptual units of study that explore standards-based topics. Using the Concrete-Representational-Abstract instructional approach, Istation Early Math delivers high-quality, effective math instruction.
